We’re hiring! Accounting Clerk

Bookia is a fast-growing company currently looking to recruit an Accounting Clerk to join their team on a full-time basis.

Bookia allows you to book a table at your favourite restaurants in a couple of minutes, literally! Bookia has been built by a team in Malta for a Maltese market, and we’re trying our best to take away all the hassle that one expects with placing a booking at a restaurant.

As an Accounting Clerk at Bookia/Tableo, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient  management of financial operations.  Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, supporting the company’s growth and success. You will also  provide support to various departments and assist in day-to-day tasks to help our team achieve their goals. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and timeliness.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting procedures and regulations.
• Follow up for payments via phone call and email to ensure timely collection.
• Perform general accounting tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Undertake additional administrative tasks as needed to support the efficient operation of the office.

• Previous experience in accounting or finance-related roles is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Google Spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
